About me
Gabriela Azar Schreiner is an Argentinian born Australian painter based in Melbourne. Her colourful, large-scale abstract canvases are held in private and corporate collections in Australia as well as internationally.
Gabriela embraces a passionate, intuitive approach to painting. Rather than subscribing to rigid techniques, she lets colours and emotions guide her creative process. The resulting paintings easily capture the imagination through whirlwinds of colour and rich texture: layers of soft plum and bright pink blend in with lush paint swirls to evoke a sense of uplifting joy, while other scenes shine through deep fuchsia and electric blue, suggesting worlds of intense emotions.
Barely contained to the confines of the canvas, Gabriela’s paintings are works that impact viewers on both physical and emotional levels.
